Julia Russett, ICSF
Founder of Bouquets for Brides Julia Russett discovered her passion for Floristry at an early age.
“My love for Floristry, especially for weddings, began at 14 years old. Whenever I had the chance, I helped out in my parents’ Floristry shop in Cornwall. This helped me to learn all about flowers and design, from the very basics. It wasn’t long before I knew that Floristry was my true passion. Training along side my parents I went on to achieve my City and Guilds NVQ level 2 in Floristry, in 2001. I continued to work in my parents shop until I moved away in 2005.
After a couple of years out of the industry I knew I wanted to return to my love of flowers and I wanted to start my own business and specialise in wedding and event work, I established Bouquets for Brides in 2007. This means I can use my skills to meet the unique requirements of each and every client with a service that is tailored to the individual.
I have continued my training and achieved my ICSF Level Four Higher Diploma in Floristry in 2011 and my love for improving does not stop there I will continue and will start my Level 5 Masters in Jan 2012. ”
Julia creates beautiful and exclusive designs for brides’ flowers, bridesmaids, buttonholes, ceremony, reception and gifts to suit every wedding theme and budget. With real attention to detail, she also dresses diverse wedding locations with Bay Trees, vases and pedestals, making sure that everything is perfect for your special day.
